Does anyone have any recommendations for replacement door panels and interior trim pieces? I am looking for high quality parts as my 1970 Olds 442 is a full frame off restoration and I am intent on restoring it to its former glory.
I have been doing some research and found Legendary Auto Interiors. Has anyone used them in the past? Link - Custom Car Interiors and Upholstery from Legendary Auto Interiors – Legendary Auto Interiors
Please share any recommendations that you may have.
Thank you!
Does anyone have any recommendations for replacement exterior stainless trim pieces? I have a 1970 442 Holiday Coupe. There are some pieces from my car that are quite rough. I would like to get my hands on some good, high quality replacement pieces, even if I have to buy a whole set. I know the lower windshield moldings are readily available as they are universal on A bodies. Has anyone found a good supplier that maintains quality and fitment?
Sometimes oldsparts.com has nos stuff. I found the trim pieces from OPG Oldsmobile were very nice.
What is the best source for reproduction fuel tanks for Oldsmobile 442s? I will be needing one in several months, so I would like to order it soon to ensure I have it when I need it. Thank you.
I spoke with Classic to Current Fabrication today regarding their fuel tanks. The fuel tanks they sell are certified GM restoration parts. They have multiple years and vent variations for Oldsmobiles and some other GM vehicles. They do sell a variety of other tanks that are not certified but are general aftermarket style tanks as well. The ones with the GM Restoration Parts logos are the certified parts.
Hi Paul! We only use Legenday Auto Interiors for interiors including door pals and upholstery. They are more costly and do take longer but no other compares to their quality. You won’t be disappointed with their products. Good luck with your project! Would love to see some pictures!
