Gas gauge testing
What is a good way to find out if the gas gauge , or the gas sending unit is not working correct? This is on a 1970 Olds 442. I also see that the sending unit can have one or two lines what determands if it's one or two lines?

To check fuel gauge get a new sending unit without pulling tank unplug wire that goes to gas tank and conmext sending unit with a jumper wire. With key on the on position you can operate the float
